William and I have two upcoming training courses in March: iPhone Development here in Hong Kong and REST Web Services in Amsterdam and ApacheCon Europe.
William Taysom will be teaching an iPhone Application Development Workshop from March 11 - 13 (Wednesday - Friday) here in Hong Kong.
I will cover the whole development experience: Objective-C programming, SDK tools, the iPhone platform, and your relationship with Apple – everything I know, and everything you need to know, about iPhone development packed into 20 hours of tutorial carefully crafted and prepared for maximum applicability.
The course will take place from 9:30-5:00 each day (with breaks) at the Hong Kong Productivity Council build in Kowloon Tong near the MTR station. The fee is HK$5,600. Under the New Technology Training Scheme, you can receive a 50% discount. I encourage attendees should bring their own Mac laptops to the training.

Based on the web services training conducted last year in Hong Kong, Aaron will be presenting A Day of REST as a training course on RESTful Web Services at ApacheCon Europe.
My motivation behind this course is to, first, clear up the general misunderstandings around REST and web services in general. We’ll review existing RESTful web services, looking for best practices and then apply those in practical examples. We’ll look at code in several different programming languages including Python, Ruby and Java, though we won’t focus on a single framework. Attendees should leave with a thorough understanding of the architecture style and how to apply it in a number of different situations.
