William and I are pleased to announce Kanchoo, a new service which creates native iPhone applications for publishers.
Developing and deploying a native iPhone application can cost a publisher as much as 20,000 US dollars – and thats just to establish a foothold, never mind the untold ongoing development costs for new feature development as the iPhone platform evolves. What Kanchoo does is take worries out of development. This frees up publishers to do what they do best: focus on building an audience with their great content.
When a publisher signs up with Kanchoo, we create a custom, branded iPhone application. All the content can be easily managed via our secure website. We currently support multiple news feeds and photo feeds for each publication and we have a host of new features we’re activately working on.
At the moment, we’re issuing private invitations to test Kanchoo and give us feedback before we open registration to the public at large. If you’re interested, you can sign-up on the website.
