BarCamp HK: 12 Sept 2009

The announcements and invites are starting to go out now: BarCamp Hong Kong 2009 will be held on Saturday, 12 September 2009 at the offices of Turner International. We’re expected as many as 300 participants this year, but that’ll only happen if you show up and bring a friend.

You do not have to register to attend; however, to help the planners know how much food to order and how many t-shirts to make, please either accept the facebook invite or use the registration form. Also, we have limited space so make sure you show up on time at 9:30 AM!

We’ve got a few special BarCamp events this year. There will be a prize giveaway, this time an iPhone 3GS. We’re still sorting out the contest (likely a lightning talk round like last year). Also, the Hong Kong Startup Association will be launching a new program for startups. You don’t want to miss that. Adobe will be back this year providing custom t-shirts with Dookaz. And I’ve heard rumors of a special cloud computing session a few folks want to run.

All in all, I’m excited. BarCamp Hong Kong is one of my favorite events of the year. Hope to see you there!
