Updated: I’ve included a *long* list of what those registering for BarCamp this year want to learn or share.
One question I am often asked is what to expect from BarCamp. It’s a difficult question to answer since no one knows! BarCamp is special because we invite everyone to participate. The first hour of the day is a brainstorming session during which we decide what sessions will be presented. Some people prepare sessions in advance. Others are inspired that morning.
To give you a hint of what might happen next Saturday (September 12th), here are the sessions that ran last year:

I know that the Hong Kong Startup Association is hoping to do another session on startups this year. I’ve heard we may have guests from Amazon who want to talk about cloud computing. The Ruby on Rails community has discussed doing another session this year. And I’ve heard proposals ranging from iPhone Apps, Google Wave, Twitter, running businesses in China, how to solve a Rubik’s cube and more. The only way to really find out is to turn up early next Saturday. See you there!
