Yesterday Hong Kong Polytechnic University hosted a half-day seminar for Sofware Freedom Day. The program included talks on open source computer forensics, open source software use at universities, an intro to Debian, a announcement about the new Hong Kong open source center, a case study on open source involvement by a local company, and an overview of a local Chinese free font project. There were around 80 people in the auditorium. I’d especially like to thank Albert Chung from Sunwah Linux who translated some of the Cantonese for me.
