MT Comment Spam on the Rise

However, checking my logs, I noticed that /muses/mt-comments.cgi was the third most requested URL for my site in November. Given the number of actual comments posted to my blog, I doubt that all those requests were legitimate. So while I may be blocking comment spam at the door, they’re still knocking.

Perhaps I could see what it would take to change the URL from mt-comments.cgi to something like mt-comment.cgi and then make sure I return a 404 or 301 error code. I suppose I could also move to WordPress, but I’d rather not.

In a related matter, due to wiki spam, I upgraded my site to the latest release from MoinMoin and am requiring logins in order to make changes. I know many other wiki sites are doing the same.

Indeed, if the first dimension were represented by a visible curvature only, it would be conceivable. Thus for every not plane continuum we can substitute a plane continuum of more dimensions
