Hong Kong Flooded

Over this weekend Hong Kong experienced its heaviest rain in 124 years. We woke up yesterday morning to violent lightning and thunder, and torrential downpours. I didn’t realize the extent of the flooding until I read the news online just an hour or so ago. In fact, once the rain ended yesteday, William and I went down into Yung Shue Wan village for lunch. There was a lot of mud on the paths, but no flooding. The weather today was actually rather pleasant—warm and sunny.

So it looks like we on Lamma were spared the floods, but others in Hong Kong did not fare so well:
